Brazil nut, is essentially the nut of Brazil. It comes from a tree in South America, which is one of the largest trees in the Amazon rainforest and belongs to the family Lecythidaceae.
It is a fruit with a creamy taste and crunchy in texture, while it is about the size of a walnut.
It is a very good source of protein and selenium, while it contains larger quantities, compared to other nuts,magnesium, copper and zinc.
Mainly due to the increased dose of selenium, it has terrible antioxidant properties.
