The black currant, especially the Corinthian one, has been cultivated in Greece since Homeric times.
It belongs to the"meta-nutritional"foods, while its taste is somewhat sweet and sour. They are rich in nutrients, fiber and antioxidants.
It can be used in sweets or eaten plain.
